Return to work following whiplash and injury

The findings of this review conducted by Dr James (Jim) Athanasou on a grant from the Motor Accidents Authority suggest there is residual return-to-work potential for persons with whiplash and back injury.

Seventy one relevant studies were reviewed as the initial phase of the development of ongoing database or return-to-work rates following these specific injuries. Such a database has potential for benchmarking motor accident claims outcomes.

To inform the development of ANTA policy relating to older workers.

To identify future research directions that would be of greatest benefit to the ongoing needs of policy makers, VET practitioners and, ultimately, the Australian community.
