OVAL Research Program
Using the title Working Knowledge: productive learning at work, the Centre's research program examines the changes to knowledge, learning
and work associated with the knowledge economy.
Key research questions that guide the Centre's current research include:
- What are the organisational implications when workplaces become sites of knowledge production and exchange? What is the relationship between 'productivity' and learning at work?
- What new models of learning and work are being produced within a context of shifting institutional, organisational and disciplinary boundaries?
- What new relationships are emerging between organisations and educational institutions? What new kinds of relationships and structures are being produced and with what effects?
- What counts as knowledge and how can knowledge production and transmission processes be managed?
- How do contemporary organisational learning and knowledge management practices contribute to the shape of work and worker identities in a knowledge economy?
